About

I teach entrepreneurship and strategy, study how founders think, and build small tools that make teaching and research easier.

I’m an Assistant Professor of Instruction at Texas State University’s McCoy College of Business, where I teach Strategic Management and Studies in Entrepreneurship. In the summers, I teach in the Summer Entrepreneurship Academy at UT Austin’s McCombs School of Business.

My research looks at how ADHD and hyperfocus shape the way founders work.

I came to teaching from business. I started in sports, with Major League Baseball in Los Angeles and a Pittsburgh Pirates minor league team in Florida. I spent nine years running programs at The Outdoor School, founded two startups, and worked in product and program roles at The Zebra, IBM, and Adobe. I run SparkFinder Labs, a boutique consulting agency focused on communication, collaboration, and creativity.
